Maharshi Dayanand was a great national leader and revolutionary great man. The work he did in the religious, cultural and political fields in the country is unprecedented. He performed the task completely. He did welfare of Hindu religion. He led the country at a time when even pointing out the evils was a difficult task. He declared Hindi to be the national language and launched a movement against untouchability and casteism. He started such a wave of Swarajya and Swadeshi which prepared the background for the formation of the Indian National Congress.
