Maharshi Dayanand was born on the holy land of village Tankara in Gujarat state of India. Extensive activities of Arya Samaj are carried out at this place.

The rat incident that happened in Maharshi Dayanand’s childhood happened in this Shiva temple on Mahashivratri and due to this incident he attained enlightenment. Dayanand’s picture is installed at this place.

At this place, Maharshi Dayanand’s search for the true teacher (Guru) was completed and he found his Guru Virjanand Dandi Ji. He studied grammar from his guru at this place. When Guru Virjanand’s hut became dilapidated, Arya Samaj established a three-storey building in its place.

Maharshi Dayanand had refuted the hypocrisy of opinions against Vedas by hoisting a flag denouncing hypocrisy in the Kumbh Mela of Haridwar. Vedic Mohan Ashram has been established by Arya Samaj at this site and even today the Pakhand Khandani (hypocrisy rebuttal) flag is situated here.

From the stairs of Nag Vasuki temple in Prayagraj, Maharshi Dayanand had seen the dolorous scene of a poor mother removing the shroud from the dead body of her child. During the Prayagraj Kumbh in 1999, Arya Samaj had organized a huge procession to this temple.

Maharshi Dayanand had established the world’s first cow shed in Rewari for the protection and enhancement of cows.

Maharshi Dayanand had a historic victory in debate with Pauranik scholars in Kashi in 1869. Kashi Shastrartha Memorial (Smriti Sthal) has been established at this site. In the year 2019, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Kashi Debate, Arya Samaj held a grand conference and organized a huge procession at the site of Kashi Shastrartha.

Maharshi Dayanand delivered several sermons at this place in 1875 which are famous by the name of Poona Sermons. These sermons were compiled and published in the form of a book in the name of Upadesh Manjari.

Maharshi Dayanand established Arya Samaj in Kankarwadi, Mumbai in 1875. This is the world’s first Arya Samaj and currently a grand Arya Samaj temple is functioning here.

Maharshi Dayanand established the first Hindu orphanage for Hindu children in Ferozepur.

Maharshi Dayanand established the first Sanskrit and Veda school at Tokaghat situated on the shore of Ganges near Farrukhabad.

Maharshi Dayanand had debate with Pandit Angad Ram Shastri at this place in Soron, Kasganj.

Maharshi Dayanand had composed Rigvedadibhashyabhumika at this place in Saryubagh, Ayodhya.

Maharshi Dayanand composed his classic work Satyarth Prakash in Navlakha Mahal. He also formed the Paropkarini Sabha here and wrote the charter. At present Arya Samaj activities are going on here.

Maharshi Dayanand established a printing press at Kashi for printing Vedic literature and equipped it with modern machines. Later on it was shifted to Prayag and then to Ajmer.

Maharshi Dayanand was poisoned for the last time at Faizullah Khan’s Kothi, due to which he died. At present Arya Samaj activities are going on here.

Maharshi Dayanand had sacrificed his body on this holy land. It was here that Pandit Gurudutt Vidyarthi had Darshan of Maharshi Dayanand. At present Arya Samaj activities are going on here.

The mortal remains of Maharshi Dayanand were cremated at this site. A memorial place of Maharshi Dayanand has been built here.

The ashes of Maharshi Dayanand were buried at this holy place. The headquarters of Parokarini Sabha is also at this place. At present Arya Samaj activities are going on here.
